How to determine the appropriate closure solution for the application?
The role of binding wire in agriculture
Wire is used to organize the connection point in sapling, ivy, cluster and support tying applications. The type of plant and support, contact surfaces and the environment where the application will be made are evaluated together in product selection. The size or finish used to seal the package is not automatically considered suitable for a plant connection.
Bayplas’s coated clip and single-wire product families include options that can be used in garden tying applications. When choosing these products, show with photos or examples where the bond will be used. Describing the bonding condition is more descriptive than simply creating a claim with the name “agricultural wire”.
Attachment point and contact surface
Connection between sapling and support
Specify the path the vine will follow around the plant and support. An application where two surfaces are surrounded together and an application where only one part is connected may not require the same length. The bend allowance and position of the ends must be evaluated on the actual connection. It should be observed whether the vineyard creates pressure on the plant.
Ivy and bunch arrangements
Explain whether the application meets the purpose of moving, routing, or temporary fixing. If there is a load to be transferred to the wire itself, specify this separately. A general binding product cannot be assumed to be suitable for every load condition; Size and material selection are clarified with your application.
Greenhouse and open environment
Indoor or outdoor information, duration of use, and exposure conditions such as humidity/sun should be included in the request. The coating’s paper, foil or plastic appearance alone is not proof of UV resistance, corrosion resistance or a certain outdoor life. If you have a special durability expectation, write it as a technical requirement.
Cut tie or roll?
| form | Work style that can be evaluated | Detail to check |
|---|---|---|
| cut | Working with a certain length on repeated connections | Binding circumference and sufficient twist allowance |
| roll | Need for size adjustment according to application | Cutting method and field use pattern |
| Custom size/finish | Standard option does not fit the application | Sample, quantity and technical expectation |
The choice of form depends on the layout of the work. In applications with variable connection circles, a single cutting length may not fit all points. Likewise, the use of rollers requires appropriate cutting and application patterns. Stating your current study method will narrow down the right option.
Evaluate the sample under its conditions of use
Test the sample on the actual surfaces to be bonded; Examine ease of application, coating behavior, placement of tips, and intended location of the joint. Include control of the vineyard in your application plan, taking into account that the point of contact may change with plant growth. A universal control range or bond tightness is not specified here; Conditions vary depending on plant and application.
Record the size used, type of cover, environment, and date of observation for comparison. This way, in the next request, you can convey not only the product appearance but also the condition in which it was evaluated. A positive short trial should not be interpreted as a guarantee of unspecified long-term durability.
What should you share in the request?
- Photo of plant/support type and mounting point.
- Connected perimeter, desired size or existing product sample.
- Indoor/outdoor environment, duration of use and special durability expectation, if any.
- Roll or cut form, color and quantity in pieces/meter.
Agriculture and garden binding wire guide control steps; paper and foil covered clip and single wire clip pages detail product options.
Technical selection criteria
